Brief Description
2 Day Economic and Defensive Driving
The delegate will become a Proficient Driver understanding the vehicle and driveline in more depth, Driving Defensively and Economically by applying the Mercedes-Benz Trucks Driving Philosophy.
Objectives
- Vehicle Familiarisation -Become Familiar with all the Exterior & Interior Features and Benefits of the vehicle.
- Introduction to Fleetboard – Driver & Vehicle Management System.
- Classroom learning – Understand Economic & Defensive Driving Principles from various visual presentations.
- Understand all the Active & Passive Safety systems.
- Demo drive by trainer.
- Take part in the 1st Practical Drive on a fixed route.
- Apply Defensive Driving Skills.
- Understand the Mercedes-Benz Driving philosophy and techniques.
- Apply the Mercedes-Benz Driving philosophy through Economic & Defensive Driving.
- Delegates will be assessed on their Practical Driving Skills.

Minimum Requirements
Correct license to drive vehicle type & a Valid PrDP including Dangerous Goods if necessary.
